What is Jon Simon's show like? The excitement starts days before the show: "Who's going to be hypnotized?" "What will they do?" "Can I be hypnotized?"Volunteers are invited from the audience and quickly fill the 20 chairs on stage. After simple instructions, they are guided into a relaxing state of hypnosis. The audience watches in amazement. Soon the room is filled with non-stop laughter as the volunteers become the stars of the show!
Is this safe?Since hypnosis in not mind control, it is perfectly safe. The hypnotist does not have any special powers over a subject, he serves only as a guide for someone to hypnotize themselves.Jon Simon is a Board Certified Master Hypnotist. As a professional, he provides full insurance coverage (except for one twisted ankle, there has been zero accidents in the past 17 years).
How long does a show last?An average show lasts 70 minutes, about the length of a movie. The show can be shorter or longer to fit your specific needs.
Location?Over years, Jon has done shows in a wide variety of settings... gymnasiums, cafeterias, tents, barns, Y.M.C.A.s, malls, roller rinks and even parking lots.
Any special requirements?Almost none. The show is self contained and requires very little work on your part. Most locations have an existing sound system, if not, one can be provided. 20 chairs are needed for the volunteers. That's it!
Is the show clean & family friendly?Absolutely. Although extremely funny, the show is non-offensive and always presented in good taste. This is one of the reasons Jon is rebooked year after year. It is not a childrens show, but it is appropriate for all ages.
How much does a show cost? That depends on your location. Even smaller organizations with limited entertainment budgets have found his show to be affordable.
